In this month’s Editor’s Pick, myAO is featuring a case published by Dr. Bruno Prado involving a 23-year-old female with a complex presentation of retrognathism, obstructive sleep apnea, snoring, TMJ pain, and occlusal issues. The patient, who has a history of TMJ discopexy performed by another surgeon and sporadic use of analgesics for TMJ pain, presented with a Class 2 Angle malocclusion on intra-oral examination. Orthognathic surgery was planned, focusing on counterclockwise rotation of the occlusal plane and telescopic advancement genioplasty.
