Case Report
A 22-year-old man with worsening hip pain was found to have chronic complete slippage of a previously pinned slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) and subsequent pseudoarthrosis between the femur and ilium. The deformity was successfully treated with total hip replacement. We report 13 months of postoperative follow-up with adequate restoration of leg length and symptomatic relief./r/nThis rare case demonstrates the importance of careful preoperative planning to ensure appropriate alignment of rotation of the hip and restoration of leg length in the setting of a chronic SCFE deformity.
